Fall in the San Juan Mountains

Shot of Hesperus Mountain from the northwest. This shot shows the absolute grandeur of the Colorado Rockies. This shot was taken from a non-descript forest service "road" not far from the towns of Delores and Mancos Colorado. While not hard to get to, it is off the beaten path and often missed by tourists. First trip up this trail was exploratory and notes were taken to come back when the fall colors were on. I love it when a plan comes together.
